Built by a Coach Who’s Lived the Chaos
25 years in the classroom. 25 years on the Field/court.
I’ve coached 7 different sports at the high school and middle school level. In football I’ve been a head coach at the high school and middle school level as well an Offensive Coordinator, Special Teams Coordinator, and position coach at the high school level. I’ve had the privilege of coaching on four high school state championship football teams, along with state tournament runs in baseball and basketball. None of that happened by accident. It happened because of organization, preparation, and coaches who took planning seriously.
One of my favorite parts of coaching has always been the coaches themselves. I’ve been fortunate to work alongside some of the best in the business, and I’ve learned something from every single one of them — a drill, a way of running a meeting, a better way to structure a practice. Coaching is a craft you never stop refining, and most of what I know came from someone else who was generous enough to share it.
But I’ve also seen the other side of it — the volunteer coach with a full-time job, a family, and maybe an hour on a Tuesday night to figure out what tomorrow’s practice is even going to look like. That gap between “loving the game” and “having the time to plan it properly” is real, and it’s the exact problem Practice Ready Sports exists to solve.
Every tool here comes from what actually works on the field — not theory, not guesswork, and not somebody’s opinion who’s never called a play. You don’t have to figure this out alone.
